HEALTH EQUITY &
ENGAGEMENT MARKETING

Producing Positive and Transformative Change Begins With Acknowledgement, Awareness, and Caring First

Our health is our wealth. However, in underrepresented communities, when it comes to our health and the care that is meant to be associated with it, we often feel that we aren't acknowledged, aware, or cared for. We hear that the reasons for this are that we don't trust the system, the cost to reach us is too high, the learning curve is too great, we don't know what we need or feel, and there are just not enough resources for us. These attitudes carry over into our lived experiences when we are caring for ourselves or supporting our loved ones.

Countless statistics also tell us a similar story. Black women in the United States are three times more likely to die from pregnancy than their white counterparts.  This is a disparity that widens in underserved and under-resourced communities. African Americans have a higher death rate from heart disease, cancer, stroke, and diabetes compared to other ethnic and non-ethnic groups. Hispanic and Latino populations face higher rates of diabetes and obesity, leading to increased risks of related health complications. Native American and Alaska Native populations experience higher rates of chronic diseases, such as diabetes, obesity, and cardiovascular diseases, compared to the general population.  Individuals with lower socioeconomic status tend to have poorer health outcomes and shorter life expectancy compared to those with higher socioeconomic status.

With all of these facts being reported, it isn't difficult to see that our communities face racial and ethnic disparities, socioeconomic disparities,  mental health disparities, and access to healthcare disparities, to name a few. All these facts are why everything The Be! Agency does comes from a DEIB (diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging) lens. Our efforts don't stop with the healthcare industry; rather, they begin with it.  In addition to our DEIB services and in partnership with companies like People Empowering People for Inclusion Now (PEP!IN) we also offer:

Health Resource Promotion and Access Enhancement

Leveraging real data and insights, we collaborate with healthcare organizations to promote available resources and improve access to healthcare services. We can help to develop marketing campaigns and initiatives to raise awareness about clinics, health insurance programs, preventative screenings, support networks, and health conditions. We employ engagement marketing techniques to disseminate information through various channels, such as websites, mobile apps, email, experiential events, and community outreach initiatives.

Community Engagement Programs

We can design and execute community engagement programs that foster meaningful connections and active participation from underserved communities. This includes organizing health workshops, interactive events, and educational sessions tailored to the specific needs and interests of the community. We work closely with our partners, community stakeholders, and local organizations to help to ensure the programs address community concerns, promote health literacy, and encourage both positive and authentic behavior change.

Patient Advocacy
and Support Initiatives

We support patients by developing advocacy campaigns and initiatives that address their unique needs and challenges. We can help our clients to create platforms to engage patients and to help them to develop their stories and experiences while providing them with resources for navigating the healthcare system and fostering support networks. We leverage engagement marketing strategies to amplify patient voices, raise awareness, and drive positive change in healthcare policies and practices.

Partnership and
Collaboration Facilitation

We excel at fostering collaborations and partnerships among healthcare organizations, community groups, and stakeholders. Our role as a facilitator involves identifying shared objectives, fostering dialogue, and supporting joint initiatives that advance health equity goals. Through our engagement marketing strategies, we build relationships, cultivate trust, and promote collective action toward improving health outcomes for underserved populations.

Targeted Outreach Campaigns

We specialize in developing targeted outreach campaigns to reach specific underserved populations. Our customized marketing campaigns are meticulously crafted through extensive research and data analysis in partnership with entities who share in our mission. They help us to conduct research and data analysis to identify key demographics and geographic areas and gain insights to create tailored messaging and content that deeply resonates with those communities. Leveraging our expertise, we employ channels such as social media platforms, community events, strategic partnerships with local organizations, and targeted advertising to reach the intended audience. Our targeted outreach efforts help to better ensure that healthcare organizations connect with and engage underserved populations, driving positive impact and fostering health equity.

Culturally Competent Messaging and Content Creation

We embrace a culturally sensitive approach to crafting messaging and content, ensuring alignment with cultural norms, language preferences, and values. Our collaborative process involves working closely with cultural experts, community leaders, and healthcare professionals to ensure accuracy, relevance, and reliability. Leveraging our expertise and that of our partners to design, copywrite, and produce multimedia to create engaging and informative materials such as videos, infographics, articles, and social media campaigns. Through our culturally competent content, we strive to bridge communications gaps, promote inclusivity, and foster meaningful connections between organizations and diverse communities.
